Moose's Easter Greeting

"On behalf of myself and Minpins everywhere, I would like to wish everybody a happy Easter.  I hope that those of you who ran after eggs down a hill, found those eggs, and were pleased with that.  Likewise with Easter egg hunts, and candy and such.

"On a more serious note, I would like to bring up again the tricky subject of cats.  Yes, they make adequate pets (although inferior to dogs in general, and Minpins in particular).  Yes, many a dog counts at least one cat as comrade, friend, buddy.  But I speak now of cats as a whole.  What is to be done to stem the feline tide?"

"Fear not!  We have a plan.  And by 'we' I mean dogs, and by 'plan' I mean:

"Just you wait and see!

"In closing, I would again like to wish everybody a happy Easter.  And by 'everybody' I mean those who commemorate the day, and those who don't really mind either way.

"Keep up the great work!"

Transcript of Telephone Conversation

The following transcript was delivered to me by a dog who professed to be acting "on orders."  It purports to document a short conversation between one "Bill" and an unidentified speaker.  In a note attached to the transcript, it is stated that the conversation was unencrypted.  Additionally, the courier made mention of a certain intelligence gathering organization called ECHELON.

(Unknown): Hello.

Bill: Hello [REDACTED].

[SHORT PAUSE]

Bill: It's Bill.

(Unknown): Ah, yes.

Bill: How are you?

(Unknown): Fine.  And how is Bill?

Bill: Oh, okay I guess.

(Unknown): All right.

Bill: Well, umm...

(Unknown): Yes?

Bill: Well [REDACTED] I just wanted to apologize.

(Unknown): Yes?

Bill: I was out of line the other day.

(Unknown): Ah.

Bill: Didn't know what I was talking about.

(Unknown): Is that a fact?

Bill: Yeah.  You know software better than I do.

(Unknown): I see.

Bill: So I wanted to formally apologize.  I promise to toe the line from now on.

(Unknown): Very well.

Bill: So... Well, we have a lot of people working for us.  They'd really be happy if we could continue with the arrangement.

(Unknown): Yes.  I will release the source code.

Bill: [REDACTED] that's great news!

(Unknown): Quite.  Well, we're summiting tomorrow, so I'd best ring off.

Bill: Sure [REDACTED] whatever you say.

(Unknown): Say hello to the wife and kids.  Bye bye.

Bill: [BEGINS TO SPEAK BUT IS DISCONNECTED]

Journal Fragment

...Summit within a day's climbing.  Again the ascent has been unremarkable. This planet's mountains are too easy.  Mars!  Now there's a planet for mountaineering!

Bitches in short supply on Everest.  I could bring my own, but that would interfere with the discipline.  I don't do this sort of thing for my health.

Will be speaking to Bill later.  I suppose he'll have some story about how he and his wife are saving the world, one cheque at a time.  I still laugh when I remember that night in Caracas when -

Minor Administrative Change

Moose has suggested that I append my first name to these posts, rather than use my surname.  Accordingly, I will now sign my posts "Bob."

Interested readers might be able to discern that in fact "Bob" is not my first name, but rather a diminutive employed as my nickname!

Regarding Wikipedia Entry

Moose has informed me that the reference made in the Wikpedia Minpin article to the "cat-like" agility of the breed is something of a scandal among certain hardline Minpins.  Moose himself expressed indifference.

Introduction

Thank you for choosing this blog for your websurfing pleasure.  I have been retained by the subject of this blog, Moose, to act as an intermediary between himself and his adoring fanbase.  It will be easily understood when I state that Moose is a busy little minpin, and doesn't have the time to - in his words - "sit in front of a computer and be a dweeb about it."  Hence my presence here.

Moose has instructed me to provide you with some information regarding the Miniature Pinscher breed, commonly called minpins.  So here's a link to a short Wikipedia article:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Minpin

As this blog develops, I will be adding more appurtenant links.

Additionally, I will be adding links to images of Moose in various states of rest, play, and work.

I will also be carrying out Moose's orders regarding the maintenance of this blog, as well as providing content regarding one of the coolest little dogs anybody has ever met.

That's Moose!
